Lake/River Trail Update 3/7/19

Lake Trails Report for the week of March 3rd-9th - Trail from Graceton Beach to Warroad was groomed yesterday --- had to turn around at the crack east of Warroad a couple of miles --- no slush found! --- trail is in great shape with a solid base of more than 20 inches -- The trail from Wheelers Point to Oak Island is being groomed today -- it was a little choppy from Wheelers to Knight Island -- due to heavy snowmobile traffic -- pretty normal for this time of year --- as of today there were no slush areas to worry about -- cracks on the lake are holding tight -- get out and enjoy the warmer weather coming!

Lake/River Trail Update 3/1/2019

This week's grooming report - things are getting a bit challenging on the lake and River. Trail to Oak Island is holding up the best and groomed and in good condition!

The river has some slush showing up, we are having to groom the river with our Polaris General to avoid our larger groomer getting stuck in slush...river groomer is just heading out this morning!

Warroad trail will not be groomed this week due to slush issues....we will do our best to expose the slush and get things back normal as soon as we can.

Lake/River Trail Update 2/21/2019

Trail Report - Feb 21 -- New snow of 2-3 inches are on the trails --- grooming all lake trails tomorrow! Will be all set for the weekend! The pressure ridges have really held tight - so very little issues for snowmobilers. Lake snow continues to build - the base is nearly 20 inches - trails will be groomed Friday --- have held up good over past week-- with warmer temps traffic from fisherman and snowmobilers will certainly keep increasing!

Lake Trail Update 2/10/2019

The Graceton Beach to Warroad trail got groomed on Friday --- with the exception of three miles east of Warroad -- a large crack was unsafe to cross with our groomer --- the Wheelers to Oak Island trail only got groomed to Knight Island -- with the changing temps a crack disallowed our groomed to get past it --- this will be hopefully groomed all the way to Oak Island by Tuesday --- warmer temps are coming which will make these crack move even more -- the River trail got groomed Saturday afternoon -

Snow depth on the lake is getting deeper! --- Blowing and drifting this past week has pushed depths up to well over a a foot to 18 inches or snow in spots ---

Trail base is well over 18 inches -

All lake trails are groomed with the exception of Knight Island to Oak Island -

Trails Conditions are good!

Lake/River Trail Update 01/31/2019

Today is Jan 31st - both the Wheelers to Oak Island and the Graceton Beach to Warroad trails are currently being groomed today!- The trail to Oak has seen lots of traffic - mostly fisherman -- only two cracks that you need to worry about -- the first one is just north of Pine Island about a mile -- and the second is just south of Knight Island -- as far as snowmobiles are concerned crossing these cracks is very easy -- The Warroad trail has a crack east of Warroad we have not been able to cross with our groomer - this crack is about 3 miles east of Warroad - Enjoy the weekend -- temps are on the rise!
